you use silver dip to clean your silver? Well, it
depends.
Yes,
if you want to clean/polish gold washed (gilt) parts of your
silver.
It works wonders and it isn't as abrasive as polish.

if you want to polish the tines of your forks.

if you want to polish items without any raised design or
pattern,
such as
fiddle tipped coin silver or totally plain sterling.

if you are polishing patterned pieces which are often
purposely
oxidized to enhance the pattern. Dip will remove the
oxidation.
Bottom Line
Dip has its purpose, but be careful, don't leave silver
soaking in dip
and
always wear rubber gloves.
